Modernist Architecture and Visual Culture

Maria Cristache completed her PhD in Sociology in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Cultural Studies, Justus Liebig University Giessen. She conducted research on postsocialist transformations reflected in the revaluation and devaluation of domestic objects and in the changing temporality of the domestic sphere in Romania. Her research interests are material culture, anthropology of consumption, sociology of architecture, postsocialism, and museum studies.
