Genre Theory at Hand

The Handbuch Gattungstheorie (Handbook of Genre Theory) makes genre theory accessible. It takes into account the diverging traditions of the various language departments and adds a diachronic, transnational, and transdisciplinary perspective. It presents in one volume the many strands of genre theory without trying to unify them. It can therefore be a very good starting place for further research.
