Edited by Silke Wehr and Helmut Ertel, Aufbruch in der Hochschullehre (Getting Startet in Higher-Education Teaching) is a collection of contributions from practical higher education pedagogy. The documented projects are from the University of Bern's further education programme – fully transferable to other universities. The original impetus for these projects was the modifications required by the Bologna Process. Fundamental considerations find practical illustration in field reports, which also demonstrate aspects of the teaching process from the planning stage through to examination.
